The 12
th Wuling Mountain Commodity Fair as well as the 2024 Wuling Mountain and ASEAN Cooperation Forum opened at the People’s Livelihood Convention and Exhibition Center in Xiushan County of Chongqing City on October 18.
The fair covers an area of over 90,000 square meters, with the main exhibition hall located at the People’s Livelihood Convention and Exhibition Center. It includes 6 exhibition areas, like the exhibition area for RCEP member countries, the imported goods exhibition area, the ASEAN imported fruit exhibition area, and the Wuling Mountain characteristic product exhibition area, with a total of 200 booths.
Meanwhile, a series of activities were held, including the Wuling Mountain (Xiushan) and ASEAN Cooperation Forum, the Western China Folk Song Festival, and cultural exchange performances between Southeast Asia and Wuling Mountain.
The high-quality and characteristic agricultural products of five companies from Huayuan County of Xiangxi Prefecture, namely, the Zila Tribute Rice Economic Union in Shilan Town, Hunan Maru Shibadong Co., Ltd., Hunan Jin’gaga Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., Huayuan Wulong Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., and Shibadong Ecological Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., also made their appearances at this fair.
Such products as preserved meat, golden tea, rice, and free range chickens were displayed on their respective booths, and representatives of various enterprises introduced the characteristics of their products, attracting many citizens.
“We expect to further enhance the reputation of Zila Tribute Rice, a national-level agricultural culture brand, so as to make the tribute rice produced under the fish-bird- duck-frog compound breeding system well-known in the market. At the same time, we also hope that people from all walks of life can provide valuable opinions on the exhibited products to help Zila Tribute Rice enhance its market competitiveness,” said an official of Shilan Town in Huayuan County.
